Night at the Zoo offers a fantastic experience exploring the zoo after dark! It is the next best thing to do while on the island besides gazing at dramatic sunset on the beach.
Serving up a great variety of wildlife, Bali Zoo invites you to experience nocturnal animals watching in their prime hour. The night at the zoo program begins at 6 pm and ends at 9 pm. It is a nice activity for adults and families with young kids while on holiday in Bali.
Guests are expected to arrive at the ticketing counter at least 5.30 pm. The night at the zoo package includes a la carte dinner that is proudly served at Wana Restaurant. Our ticketing staff will guide individual guests or small groups less than 20 people through our dinner menu that varied from barbeque to Indian vegetarian cuisine. While Curacao style international buffet is served for a group of 20 people or more.
Your night safari journey starts at Deer Park located right after the ticket counter. It is a specially designed tropical landscape themed with palm grove where you will meet our amazing deer and wallaby up close. At the Deer Park, you are allowed to hand-feed those beautiful herbivores with veggies provided at the venue.
Afterward, you will stop by at Wana Plaza. Here you will be served with a welcome drink and a great selection of finger foods. At this venue, you will have a chance to meet up and interact with an owl, phyton, armadillo and other animals available in the evening. Moreover, you can find out the lions' diet and how the keepers feed them! You are also welcome to use this opportunity to help the keeper feeding the king of the jungle. Work alongside the keeper pulling the rope that transports the fresh meat into the enclosure.
Guests are invited to have dinner at Wana Restaurant by 7 pm before embarking on an adventurous night. Dining at Wana Restaurant is not just another evening; it is dinner next to the lions. Following the dinner is a fascinating tour around the zoo by torchlight. Our wonderful and knowledgeable guides will take you to an adventure in the zoo.
The nightlife in the zoo is wonderful and mysterious at the same time. It is hard to tell the difference between a sleeping bearcat or an active one watching us with its widen pupils; if the owl is being calm or keeping an eye to a prey. Also sometimes it is hard to spot the animals as they blend in with the environment. Our expert guide will help you to unravel the mystery and spot the animals.
Some night creatures, such as owls and large cats have evolved sight allows them to see easily in the dark, some have a good sense of smell, such as snakes, while some others have a special hearing ability. No wonder their behavior is so unique. A set of house rules, which are no flash photography, be calm, and not walking separately with the group are meant to be followed to keep the animals calm and make your night at the zoo the best ever.
Our safari car will transfer you to Kampung Gajah, a huge compound carefully designed to duplicate the elephants' natural habitat. Enjoy this opportunity to get up close to our elephants and feed them. You can feel their soft trunk as it grabs a carrot from your hand. The gentle giants never fail to amuse everyone with their cute face, flappy big ears, and adorable behavior.
Not only that, get a rare look at remarkable endangered Sumatran tiger! Try to spot them as they are prowling the man-made jungle! Their earthy colors striped fur blends in with the trees. Observe their marvelous beauty and vigorous muscle as they get closer to the glass wall when the keeper feeds fresh chunk meat to the Tigers.
Our guides are very informative. But you can always find out more information about the animals from the written information on display!
Your night at the zoo is ultimately wrapped with a night safari show featuring a group of talented fire dancers.
